For convenience, you may prefer working on your PC in a darker mode. This is especially useful during the day to contrast with the surrounding light. Whatever your reason may be, microsoft has included ways for you to add custom colors to your Windows PC, and I will show you how to do so. 1. Choose A Color Theme
To choose a color theme, navigate to Settings > Personalization > Colors.
Under “Choose your color”, “Choose your default Windows mode” and “Choose your default app mode”, select Dark.
You will start using supported apps in dark mode. By default, built-in apps are supported. And you can enable dark mode for specific apps that are not supported.
2. Choose an Accent Color
If you want your task bar, title bar, windows border, and action center to appear in colors complementing your background color, you should customize your accent color. To do this, still in the Colors tab, scroll down to “Choose your accent color”. Then select your preferred color from the grid, or check Automatically pick accent color from the background. Continue scrolling down till you reach the “Show the accent color on the following surface” option.
Select your preferred location, and you should start seeing your custom color in the selected location.
