Some phone does come with the option to lock individual apps, this can be accessed from the security option under settings.

Depending on the phone used, the process can be different but should include the following steps.

Note: You must have previously enabled password protection for your device before using this method.

I am using Gionee S10 lite for this tutorial and the process is as follow:

Step 1: Open Settings on your mobile phone and locate the security section.

Choose the safety protection option if available, else you can continue with the security option.

Step 2: Locate App lock from the security menu and click on it .

You may be prompted to input your phone passwords to continue, input and click the “ok”.

Step 4: You can now select the apps to lock.

To confirm that the app is protected, open it, and you will be prompted to input your device pin or password.

How to lock your Apps using Apps from the Play store

You can lock your App by using one of the numerous apps available on the play store, I will be using “Applock” by SpSoft for this guide.

Step 1: Download the Applock from the Google play store and launch it.

You will be prompted to set up a master key, input the pin, and confirm it to continue.

Step 2: From inside the App, you can now add the Apps you wish to lock by clicking the + icon.

A list of installed apps will be displayed, select the ones you wish to install and click on the + icon

Once done, the list of the Locked Apps will be shown.

By default, launching a locked App displayed a false screen as shown below.

To disable this, hold down the “ok” button.

Tips: You can also prevent unauthorized Access by pinning the Screen.
