Samsung Set To Release New Foldable Smartphone That Looks Like Galaxy Z Fold3

Samsung’s plan to release yet another foldable smartphone that looks like Galaxy Z Fold3 has been leaked. The smartphone will be called Samsung W22 5G will only be sold in China, as the W21 5G when it arrived last year. However, the W22 5G is expected to come with a luxurious design but with the same hardware as the Galaxy Z Fold3.

According to reliable source Samsung W22, 5G will be a successor to last year’s W21 5G which was only released to the China market, but there is no confirmation as to maybe the company has the plan of releasing W22 5G elsewhere.

Samsung based the W21 5G on the Galaxy Z Fold2, sharing almost all components between the two devices. The W21 5G supports dual-SIM connectivity through two SIM slots though, a feature that the Galaxy Z Fold2 lacks. The W21 5G’s elaborate chassis was ever so slightly taller than the Z Fold2’s as well, and it was only available with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

It was gathered that the W22 5G has dual Under Panel Cameras (UDC), with a smaller aperture visible next to the main UPC. However, the Z Fold3 also has this second sensor, which handles ambient light and proximity detection.

It is expected that Samsung will equip its next W series smartphone with dual SIM card slots again, a feature missing from the Galaxy Z Fold3 too and it is also assumed that Samsung will give the W22 5G a striking design as it did with the W21 5G, along with 512 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM.
